Week 1 - Marathon Slog - Day 1 of 112
New Year all done and dusted and time to strap on the shoes and start the long slog towards London and my goal to go sub 3 hours at London. All kitted out with my Garmin and a new cadence sensor to make sure that my forefoot running technique continues to improve. This morning was out on the canal just before 9am for a 5 mile bimble at 8 min mile pace. All good other than the right achilles still giving some bother. Started with exercises and will try to do these daily to strengthen the achilles. Stood on the most enormous dog turd which ended up splattering on my New Balance runing tights. Bloody owners!
