Week 2 - Let it go! - Day 13 of 112

All kitted out
Had to go down to Machrihanish on Friday night to interview the new cleaner and sand the floor in the lounge. Went to pick up the sander from HSS having ordered it over the phone on Tuesday. I was not best pleased  in turning up to be told on Friday that they did not have a sander for me! The guy said he had an edger but no sander. I explained my predicament that I was going down to Machrihanish but he would not give me anything other than he did not have the sander. No alternatives no help no nothing. I don't know how many times he said that he did not have one. Then as I started to go berserk he said he had one in the back but it was not clean. Uh? Clearly as it was 5.15pm on a Friday he decided that it was more important for him to get out the door at 5.30pm than do his job. I was livid. I have already picked up the comments card. I feel a letter coming on.

The finished article
Struggled to get out of bed on Saturday morning. Decided that I could get the 5 miler in at some time during the day but the day just ran away from me. Having finished the floor I moved on to the kitchen to sand the work tops. Don't know what the neighbours must have thought to see me at 11.30pm standing on the worktops with an industrial sander. Reminded during the day why I have only ever sanded one room in my life. It is bloody hard work. Managed not to cut the radiator pipes with the edger which was a bonus.

Really should have realised that in putting off the run in the morning that it was going to be unlikely that I would be able to fit it in. It's now into catch up trying to fit two runs in on Sunday. Maybe I should really let it go?

Quite pleased with this
