Week 5 - Going green - Day 35 of 112

Tide going out on my 3 hour programme?
Going to bed on Saturday there was every chance that I would decide not to take on the 18 miler. Two things made that a certainty. One was that I could barely walk down the stairs the achilles was so painful and second I had developed this hacket cough which produced the most hideous green gloop. I did not make the decision until I had some breakfast in the hope that a feed may encourage a Lazarus like recovery. It was not to be . Best not to jeopardise my training and a possible longer lay off when the cold is in my chest. The cold is becoming a bit annoying. Yesterday run went ok and I had no ill effects but an 18 miler at the same pace is a different story. No point in risking it.

That's 3 workouts missed. I believe I can miss a weeks training without it causing detrimental effect on the long term goal. Doesn't leave much wiggle room for the next 10 weeks.

The positive from the weekend was that I managed to get everything done for the guests arriving on Saturday. It was a long weekend and I didn't get back home until 11pm on Sunday.

 No numbers

Finished at last
