Week 6 - I spy with my little eye - Day 36 of 112

Where did I leave it?
I could not find my blue tooth dictation device this morning and it reminded me of the man that I see on a regular basis whilst cycling to work. In fact I saw him this morning. He is an older man nearing retirement and whenever I see him he is always staring at the pavement as if he has lost something and is looking for it. His eyes dart to and fro searching, searching always searching. I have seen him over the last couple of years and did not think anything of it the first time I spotted him. I presumed that he would find what he was looking for or give up. But no he is still looking. Now I do not know what he has lost but it must be something bloody dear to his heart for he has been looking for that damn thing for that last three years. Let it go man let it go! Oh and I found it stuffed in one of cabinets. People were begining to think I was walking about like a bit of a loon searching for it eyes darting to and fro.......

Late to bed last night having got back from Machrihanish at 11pm so am out this evening for a 5 mile easy. Cold still producing radioactive coloured gunk. I am just used to it now. Managed out just before 9pm and strolled out to the canal. It was chillly tonight and by the end frost was forming on my jacket as I took it off. Felt ok. Still have an issue with my cough and was regularly having to clear the nasal passages. Tried loosening my right trainer to see if that made a difference to the achilles. That didn't work so tried to tie it so tight that so that my blood stopped flowing to the ankle. After five minutes decided that this wasn't such a good idea. In the end the foot felt fine and had no real problem with it. It is an odd injury. Sometimes I cannot walk and other times it feels fine.

Have an interval session tomorrow and that will be a test for both the cold and the achilles.

Numbers - 5.17 miles - 45.13mins - 8.45 pace - 138 HR avg  - 71.7 cadence- 697 calories
