| Let the battle commence |
The hamstring is tight this morning and not helped by a 3 hour road trip down to Machrihanish to start our holiday. Sat last night on a cricket ball. Not for some masochistic pleasure but apparently to disperse the scar tissue. I wonder if this led to the tenderness that I am feeling at the moment. The weather down here is overcast and as usual a bit blowy. The fire is on and the girls are in the midst's of the first of a seven series World Monoploy Challenge. I will give it another 10 minutes before there is a rammy.
Went out on the beach for a run. Had really wanted to go for a spin on the bike but have realised that I did not bring my cycling shoes. What a numpty! Maybe I can buy a pair in the town. I recall that someone opened a bike shop last summer. Instead I went out fer a very easy 3 miler on the beach. This took a little under 30 minutes. What I am telling myself is that it is better to get time on my feet than worry about the pace. I think that is the positive that I am trying to take from this. I cannot remember when I ran this slow. Got through it but the hammy was very tight. Will try out a swim tomorrow. Sat most of the evening trying a hot and cold therapy on the leg to see if this has any therapeutic effect.
There is no way that I can start back into the schedule at the moment. I am hoping that by the end of our trip down here that I will be up to speed. I hope that i will be able to at least run and swim every day. I have to say at the moment I am doubtful of my bodys tolerance to the miles required to get ready for London.
