Week 14 - You can't beat it! - Day 94 of 112

View to Machrihanish

Best day so far. Cloudless skies, bit of a breeze and an empty beach on which to run. Started off on the stroke of 8am. have no numbers as the Garmin packed in after half a mile. The views are breathtaking when the weather is like this. The beach is completely different today - hard sand for much of the run. What a change from yesterday. There was a storm overnight and a high tide given that it is spring.

Out at Westport

Kept it at a sedate pace. Again there was a headwind on the way out. The hamstring held up again. I think that I will get in another run before we sample the delights of the only curry shop in the Wee Toon which everyone raves about. Each run without a relapse brings additional confidence. I should try a run out on the roads soon to see how the leg stands up to a harder surface.

Poor old Flipper
Running on the beach there are some weird and wonderful things that you come across. A dead "Flipper" was today's discovery. Just lying on the sand. Looks as if it had been lying there for days as part of its head had already begun to decompose. I have also come across a blue construction helmet, one yellow welly and a dead seagull.

Numbers - 7.14 miles
